ABOUT BEAUTY BANKS
Beauty Banks’ mission is to end hygiene poverty by getting essential personal care and hygiene products into the hands of people who need them. Lack of access to everyday hygiene essentials can prevent people from participating fully in education, work and everyday life and since 2018, Beauty Banks has worked to address this. Through its nationwide network of charity partners - including food banks, domestic abuse services, homeless shelters, NHS organisations, schools and organisations supporting care leavers - Beauty Banks distributes toiletries to adults and children who would otherwise struggle to afford them. Financial donations enable the charity to buy essential products, store donations and distribute them to communities across the UK. Because access to basics like shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant and period products is about much more than being clean. It’s about dignity, confidence and being able to face the day feeling like yourself.
The NEW EARTH candle
Rachel, founder of Meadow Farm, and Olivia, founder of Olfactive O, came together through a shared love of scent, growing things and making beautiful products by hand. Both believe in the small but powerful ways scent can change how we feel - in a room, in ourselves and in the everyday. For their first candle together, they chose Olfactive O’s New Earth: a scent made for slowing down, taking a deep breath and stepping outside, with green leaves, aromatic herbs and warm earth. And because feeling good in yourself shouldn’t be a luxury, all profits from this candle will be donated to Beauty Banks.
